At least you girls get the free food and drink, we do all of that, 1000 crunches, check the bank account and all for the pleasure of being dismissed because we aren’t providing the fairy tale that all of you believe you deserve. And gotta love it when you find that we are divorced because you’ll spend all evening digging into that until you coax some reaction out of us and decide that we are “still not over the ex”…after you have pushed, pulled and antagonized our buttons.

Maybe if you girls weren’t so confused and so caught up in your long list of entitlements you’d have found someone or at least a stable by now.

Keep playing your games in your 30s and you’ll discover that in your 40s, the only suitors you are getting are weirdos in their 20s and refined, elderly gentlemen.

Google doc spreadsheets- seriously with columns for names, their details, what you already told them, etc. It’s in the cloud so you can check it quick online before you head out. It saved my sanity as I pursued my “part-time” job of dating till I found my other half(in Denver 37 year old guy- no kids, no previous engagements/marriages, and I can wear heels standing next to him… they do exist

Leaza, Dating is really hard work. Although, I did think the free meal was a perk. The hardest part for me was keeping all their names straight. As soon as I decided it was too much work and to quit the game, that was when I met my future husband. Love often comes when you are no longer looking for it.

i did the exact same thing a long time ago…took a break from dating because I was tired of telling my story over and over again. It just got old and I was sick of repeating it since nothing had ever worked out anyways. I often thought of changing my story around just to amuse myself.

I’m dying ovah heah! LOL!!!! I totally want to copy your idea of handing out pie charts and timelines to my dates. I could never be a serial dater for several of the reasons you list here, but primarily because I have a hard time keeping the facts straight. I can’t ever remember who told me what, and similarly, I always freak about repeating myself.

Though the free dinners are sometimes a bonus, I hate the idea of it feeling too “staged.” Step 1) What is your family like? Step 2) What do you do for a living. Step 3) Future goals and aspirations and blah blah blah.

Anyway, thanks for the laugh–I needed that (Though this doesn’t get me too pumped about “getting back out there,” to be honest!).
